There are countless small decisions that surround the transition from High School into the next steps of life. Don’t make the mistake of overlooking the decision to choose a faith community.
Take a weekend to gather with others in the midst of this life change, and learn directly from those who are surviving and thriving in the college experience right now. Meet some great student leaders from campus ministries all around Florida so you’ll know someone wherever you decide to go next.
College Connection is planned in partnership between the Warren Willis Camp and Conference Center and the campus ministries of the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. The retreats are staffed almost entirely by student leaders of these ministries, many of whom attended College Connection as a high school student.
The College Connection Retreat is funded by a grant from the Young Clergy Initiative and Explore Calling. The Young Clergy Initiative is a $7 million fund created by General Conference in 2012 and 2016 that is charged with increasing the number of young clergy within jurisdictional conferences of The United Methodist Church by encouraging opportunities that leverage for denominational change on systemic and cultural levels through various conversations, events, experiments, resources, research, and training.
